Which would lead one to think that MS was first with these 'features', however, MS copied Borland and Wordperfect, So true! Corel WordPerfect was the first to have live web links in documents, just by typing whatever.com . And I believe that Corel QuattroPro was the first to have tabbed pages in a spreadsheet. Of course, it was such a cool and handy idea that Excel promptly copied it. Ad nauseum. But MS has all the exclusive distribution agreements with the cowardly PC makers, so the world has MS-Office shoved down their throats, whether they want it or no. I use MS-Office myself (at work) because Dell, who we bought the server and workstation package from, doesn't offer freedom of choice in that regard.
