theglobe.com

BeautyBuys.com Becomes a Premier Partner

SYOSSET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1999--Synergy Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq:SYBR - news) announced today that
the company has signed an exclusive agreement with theglobe.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:TGLO - news) to include BeautyBuys.com,
Synergy's online health and beauty store, within theglobe.com's marketplace. The BeautyBuys.com online store is expected to
launch by mid-February.

Under terms of the agreement, BeautyBuys.com will be the only website selling high-end salon products with placement in
theglobe.com's Marketplace. BeautyBuys.com will have top placement in the ''Health and Beauty'' section and a permanent
placement in the ''spotlite'' of theglobe.com's Marketplace.

theglobe.com will also provide BeautyBuys.com with a permanent link in the ''Money Makers'' section of theglobe.com's
Homepage Builder, listing BeautyBuys.com as an Affiliate Program Partner. Other Affiliate Program Partners of theglobe.com
include Cyberian Outpost, Inc. (Nasdaq:COOL - news) and Beyond.com Corp. (Nasdaq:BYND - news).

In addition, theglobe.com will provide banner advertisements and permanent text links for BeautyBuys.com within the
Romance, Life and Entertainment themed areas.

No further terms of the agreement were disclosed.

The BeautyBuys.com online store will offer a large selection of nationally branded health and beauty care products, including
professional salon hair care products, designer fragrances and cosmetics, and Proctor & Gamble health and beauty care items.
