TVW Home Page

I have a 56k modem so it loads fairly fast, but the homepage looks terrible. It's cluttered, the type on the buttons is way too small to read, there's no artistry and coherence to the design, and the logo is dull. Why a black logo? It should be splashy. Moreover, they need more than a good designer, they need a good promotional writer to make the topics on the homepage look interesting. I like MSNBC's homepage--their buttons along the left hand side MAKE you want to read what they're writing about with snappy headlines, and even IVillage's (#1 women's site on the web), the former probably had lots of cash and admittedly they've got some top writers and editors, the latter is basically a volunter network, but they draw you in and it's well written.

if I were just a surfer on the web I'd skip this, I'd figure it was unprofessional and not worth my time, and I'd never revisit.

Great comments Re: TVW "glitches", karl s. Related AXC issue:

Note that all recent AXC press releases include this line:

"Ampex Corp., a pioneering innovator in audio, digital video and digital image processing, has participated in the evolution of the Internet since the origins of the system in the 1980s."

Origins of the Internet go back to late *1960s!*

Keep it coming, folks.
