For everyone's info - do your own DD: NEW ISSUE TO COMMENCE TRADING THURSDAY FEB 04 1999 09:30 EST International Kirkland Minerals SYMBOL: IKI (Vancouver Stock Exchange) Shares Issued: 5,188,001 Resticted shares: Approx 3,000,000 Public Float: Approx: 2,000,000 WEDNESDAY FEB 03 1999 International Kirkland Minerals (IKI) has completed an Initial Public Offering of 2,000,000 shares at .40 cents, raising approx. $700,000. It will now be called for public trading on Thurs, Feb 04 1999. The company's main property for exploration is called the Toom's Township nickel project and is located in northeastern Ontario near Chapleau. The property lies on what's called the Abitibi- Greenstone belt of mineralization, on which recently, a company called NUINSCO (NWI:TSE) has made an interesting discovery, which caused its stock to move from pennies to about $2.30. This is similar host rock. Drilling will commence very soon on the Toom's Project along with favorable weather and the coming exploration season. Other acquisitions are highly probable. With a little luck I'm hoping that some interesting nickel-copper values will be discovered. Management of IKI is similar to a TSE listed Co. called OPAWICA Expl. (OPW-TSE) Opawica has some great prospects in Argentina, close to the Barrick-Argentina Gold discovery, and some phenomenal properties in the Kidd Creek Region near Timmins, Ont. The stock (OPW) has moved from the $0.30 cent range in November to about $1.30 recently. How's that for a nice move in this type of market.
