To the board. Looks like today will be a bit better than yesterday. Personally, IÕve always felt that this date should be a legal holiday. It was on Feb 3, 1959, that a plane crash took the life of rock and roll singer Buddy Holly. Ritchie Valens and the big Bopper also died in the crash.

About a year earlier Buddy had moved up to New York City from his home in Lubbock, Texas, to pursue his growing interest in producing other artists. BuddyÕs first efforts along these lines were production deals with new comers Lou Giordano and Waylon Jennings. Phil Everly (of the Everly Brothers) acted as co-producers on the Lou Giordano session. (Buddy and Phil sang harmonies and played guitars on the session).

Before Buddy had moved up to NYC, Buddy had asked Norman if he could buy the old mono AMPEX recorder on which he had recorded most of his hits. Norman gave it to him, for ÒluckÓ.

Some quote servers are showing the low at 2 13/16, some are not.

Off topic...SCOC had 2 million plus shares go by quickly this morning in big blocks. Biggest single volume day in 5 1/2 years...anybody have a clue?

That 2 13/16 was shown on Waterhouse, but I didn't see it as a low for the day on other sites. May have been a misprint, or was changed later. Looks like low was only 3 5/8 or so.
