If, if, if... I'd go further out to May or August. You'll pay more, but you'll get a lot more time too. If you want to roll the dice, buy the Feb or Mar out-of-the-money calls. It may pay off, or you may lose it all.

Uncle Frank, Where do you get Feb or March 120 calls? The quotes I got from Dreyfus stop at 110's. Is there something I missed.

If you're selling the Feb 120's against calls or long stock you already own, that's fine IMO. Otherwise, you're just putting coins in a slot machine.

Dell is a great long. But just buying out of the money options contracts is one of the riskiest bets you can make. Better IMO just to buy the stock and sit with it. Gotta learn to balance fear vs. greed.
