Hi all, I just received the February issue of Restaurant Hospitality Magazine (I run a restaurant). I'm sorry to say it doesn't have a web address that I could use to link an article some of y'all might find of interest. On page 26 the article caught my eye because of a picture of orange and yellow french fries on front of a vending machine. It only took reading 1/2 way through the article before I was on-line searching for Tasty Fries Inc info. Among the places I stopped, of course, was SI. I'll try and summarize the article. Section called Trendinista ( Trends in the Restaurant industry) US french fry consumption has reached 30 pounds per person...it's no wonder innovative methods for capturing market share have begun to emerge...restaurants and vending machines dedicated solely to french fries...European-style french fry shops in NYC...Pommes Frites...B.Frites...equipment and condiments imported from Belgium...$2.25, $3.50, $4.50 serving sizes...Signature sauces add $.50...At the other end of the spectrum comes Tasty Fries Inc, an equipment manufacturer just beginning to mass-produce a sophisticated vending machine...Self contained...hot fries in 90 sec...Describes the cycle...Projected price $1.00 per serving...Machines sell for roughly $9000...450 lbs...holds 500 servings...auto self-clean... hi temp sensor... air filtration...fire extinguisher...Publicly held CO trades on OTC BB ...Blue Bell PA..phone number....no revenue yet..traded as high as 2.63...If investors believe in getting in on the ground floor it could be had for .44 at press time. Trend Potential: 8.1 1=passing fad 10=megatrend So does that mean Tasty Fries are part of a kilotrend? They sure caught Restaurant Hospitality's attention and mine. Regards DEZERT
