Marty,

I can imagine Rich sitting in front of his computer, one hand fighting furiously with the other, holding it away from the "Respond" button. Like a ravenous wolf hound with a muzzle on and a huge piece of raw meat in front of him on the floor.

Stay hungry, Rich. Nice work.

Best regards, Tim

Marty and MskiHntr (and anyone else who can answer):

I read your post #3956 on RB, Marty, re there being no shares of TSIG available to short.

Just what does that mean? I'm aware of the practice of shorting, of course, but am unable to fathom there being no available shares. Who's shares are "borrowed"? A broker from his own account? From someone who has an account with the broker? Does it mean all the shares once available have already been shorted? Can a share be shorted more than once simultaneously? Does it mean no one wants to let shares under their control be shorted? If so, why?

A lot of questions, but the basic questions are why are there no shares available, and what does this mean?

Sporting my ignorance, I know, but it bugs me that I don't know the answers.

Time for a run, its 55 degrees and sunny in NJ.

Thanks in advance, TS
