Elmer re: <Protection against Government intrusion, not intrusion by the private sector.> The private sector is heavily regulated by the State and Federal governments for the purpose of protecting individual privacy. Note the response by the States to Image Data's efforts to provide DMV info to the private sector. In the case of California vs. The FCC, the whole issue revolved around the BellCo's, etc., wanting to provide a new service. The private sector cannot violate the Constitution. Gene
