Florid One, all. I'm thinking "hot-diggedy-dog" and not just cuz the Q got a nice little goose today. This wasn't just any old $500MM infrastructure contract: this was Air Touch which is Vodaphone which is Europe largest frigging wireless carrier [LFWC]. Okay, 1/2 bill ain't chump change all by its lonesome and let us not forget that those boys from Nortel seem to have gotten their Viagra fix this month with 2 other big bux infrastructure contracts [BBICs] in the past few days. AND THESE ARE CDMA BBICs SPORTS FANS. Me thinking Ericy's feeling a little like a certain Falcon defensive back just now, which is to say really lousy. For a technology that doesn't work, folks sure are throwing some reasonably serious capital at it. All of a sudden, Fortress Europe has got its LFWC playing serious footsie with the dreaded GSM giant killer. My guess: count on a press release soon reminding us all that Ericy originally invented it. Man is this gonna be great when they toss in the towel. SM
