GOP stands on principle, Dems on shaky ground. If the Republican party were not conducting the trial because of beliefs and/or principles, then why are we doing it? Because we want to loose the House and the Senate? I appreciate Democrats' concern for the welfare of the Republican Party, but I prefer to move forward with the trial, take our chances at the polls, and let history be the final judge. Because in the end, good ALWAYS triumphs over evil, which is why the Democratic party will go down in history as the party who thinks it's own leaders are exempt from the laws they force upon everyone else.
