I think most selling pressure on this stock comes from shorts and day traders. Both stop selling above 5. I said a couple months ago I didn't think this thing could go below 5 with the earnings growing, and I still think so. That's why almost all the shorts have dissappeared again until the next quarterly report, when they will again pile on to enhance the sell-on-the-news effect. Until then, we will only hear from cube and a couple others who have actual information for us from time to time.

I am very happy with that huge short interest. Shorts will fuel a nice rally if Borland.com or Inprise ever gets some good news.

Meanwhile, I am losing 3/8 since my last buy. I think I will get this back, as people get that the company has recovered and has had a year of profitable quarters.

I know there are other issues coming up. I got my settlement letter from the lawsuit lately, and there is a first quarter charge. On the other hand, Asian, Latin American and European currency issues and performance that hurt them the last quarter should reverse and produce a pop 1st quarter.

I think their credibility is partly rebuilt as a tool supplier, and will continue to grow.

I intend to start accumulating this stock and stop trading it, for the time being. I think in a year this thing will go to ten at least, and that's good enough for me.
