As I understand it the SNRS machine treats only farsightedness.

The VISX S2 can do farsightedn ess, nearsightedness and astigmatism.

I hope SNRS does well....

I expect this to have no effect on VISX at all...

"I'd like some opinions on this"

I would suggest buying SNRS!

Seriously, I was told the market potential for SNRS is 10x's that of VISX's, which is a big reason that I started looking into the co.. I will look forward to wall streets reaction to what many will be calling, the next VISX. I don't think it will cause Visx to go out of business just yet <G>, but it may be prudent to sell a portion of shares and diversify into SNRS. The growth VISX has experienced may not be what it will do from here on out.

I dont have first hand knowledge, since I only follow VISX from a far, but I do know the projections for SNRS are very exciting and that is where I have invested my money.

Good luck with your decision.
