Picks are usually discussed in the ongoing conversation of the thread. They are upgraded and downgraded by the thread according to their story, fundies, news, momentum, trading ranges, etc. They are more importantly catagorized into several catagories:Crap = Carp and is thrown into the FISHING lake [URL above], OTC, under 1.50 and anything else that looks and smells like carp.Momos are usually picked at the open and discussed throughout the day.Swing [position] trades are selected periodically based on pending news, story, etc. Usually, these are put into SAM [stealth Accumulation Mode]. When a stock is being accumulated, we will either disguise it somehow like BUMM for BAMM or N2K for NTKI. This is for the purpose of keeping our buying selections to our own thread. [can't be full-text searched as easily] By doing this, we gain a slight advantage, by keeping the stock away from daytrader boards. During a SAM mode, we select not to post the stock's symbol on other boards as well. SSL [Seven Semi-longs] are a "basket" of position trades that we hold long. . .these may or may not be SAMs. Some stocks that have been in my SSL portfolio include SEEK at 21, NTKI at 5, ATHM at 27, SGI at 11, etc. When SEEK neared 100 it would have been replaced. Likewise, NTKI would have been replaced at 25, then re-considered at about 11. SGI would be held. ATHM would have been held and graduated into the LONG portfolio. LONG Portfolio This group is located at: techstocks.com This long portfolio is not TRADED. I will only design a long portfolio to be traded if there is sufficient interest. Rande Is
