fortinwit: as always, cogent and insightful. i also read elsewhere that the lack of financial participation was of concern. additionally, Bronchick(sp?) in thestreet.com had a great article last night re: SEC regulations and "company managed" earnings. wouldn't it be interesting (from a short point of view) to have all those massaged numbers disappear in the next 3-6 months...talk about earnings disappointment!!! i think if companies ever decided that they would rather let the numbers speak for themselves, lots of this momentum based enthusiasm would disappear (at least until the next GAAP scam got developed) david
