You are absolutely correct in your assumption. Datek is a great company to use if you trade between 11:00am and 2:30 pm.Trades made at other times are at your own risk.From 9:30 until 10:00, you are taking an awful risk.How many times I have wanted to sell a stock that started falling, and could NOT GET THROUGH! When I tried to call them, no one answered because they are so busy trying to appease other customers that called ahead of me!They definitely should not be used to daytrade,and if you use AOL the streaming quotes will not work. Fortunately for me, I grew up and graduated high school in Iselin, N.J., where Datek is located, and have relatives that live nearby.So whenever this happens,I drive down there and smack a few of them around on G.P.!;o) Steve
