daniel, about TUTS: i don't know what you would have found if you looked into it. these guys are all hype with their stupid single-pair ethernet (lousy 1.5 mbps over very short distance, good enough only for inside the home), and their "proprietory" long-run solution which is nothing but some DSL variation (they don't talk about it much!). their stuff runs over phone lines, and, IMO, they have no chance technologically to compete with cable modem solutions. but they're good at generating hype and twisting things around to their advantage. they have alliances i think with compaq and ms, but don't let that fool you cause their technology will soon be up against at&t, athome, time warner, 3com, com21, even cisco and nortel. i wouldn't be long on TUTS cause i have no faith in their technology in the long run, but i wouldn't short them cause i think they're masters of hype. too risky. -mehran
