Not selling a loser is also one right answer for certain investors. I'm not saying its the right decision for me but for others it might be. Tom

Hello All,

With permission from Chartcraft/Investors Intelligence, here's a bit of today's Market Data:

SENTIMENT INDEX 02/05/99 01/29/99
% of Advisors Bullish 60.0 60.7
% of Advisors Bearish 26.7 28.2
% of Advisors Correction 13.3 11.1

A few of the important indicators as follows:

02/02/99 01/26/99
% NYSE > 10 Week MA 39.81 42.48 Bear Confirmed
% OPTs > 10 Week MA 43.1 43.8 Bear Confirmed
% NYSE > 30 Week MA 43.33 44.85 Bear Confirmed
NYSE Bullish % 50.0 52.0 Bear Confirmed
OPT Stks Bullish % 56.0 59.1 Bear Confirmed
NYSE High Low Index 46.1 49.2

A few paraphrased comments:

- Market Breadth is terrible. The advance-decline line is bearish on all 3 indexes and lower than 10 day's ago.
- Sentiment has bulls at 60%, down some from last week. Bears at 26.7% and approaching the 23% reading in July.
- The broad industry sum dropped down to 15.5 from 21.5 last week, and into a sell signal.
- Only one industry group moved up and 14 went down.

My comments:

I have really come to appreciate watching the DJUA and the DJ 20 bond chart. Keep a close eye on these two charts.

Take care,

Eric
