Michael: Merrill Lynch has the largest sales force of any brokerage company in the US, if not the world. To date, their has not been any good coverage from co's like Morgan Dean Witter, Paine Webber, or Merrill Lynch. I think it will be a big boost to have Merrill brokers warming up to the stock over the near term. To date, the firms like Alex Brown, Salomon, JP Morgan, etc... have been pitching the stock to their "intitutional" clients.

If you look at the recent rallies on big volume, you get the idea that the stock has been under accumulation. Now, the stock is poised to take a big run if it breaks out of its trading range. I remember Dorsey Wright was featuring the stock in recent reports & mentioned it on CNBC. The stock is gaining alot of visibility.

I haven't looked at the past charts, but I believe this is the longest period of time that Qcom has stayed at this price level. Rather than a very quick run up, the increase has been steady. As best as I can tell, now having checked the 100 month chart, this is true.
