jb, and how long do they put you on hold? If you can't trade online at Etrade, there's practically no other channel. Their phone service is the worst.

I doubt you will ever see an internet site that never goes down.

jb, it's a different ball game when a lot of people's money is on the line. A 2-hr outage is inexcusable. They should have backup system, and not just the constantly overloaded phone lines. How would you like it when the airplane you're on runs out of fuel at 35,000 ft?

When the Web and automated phone trading systems were down, it wasn't possible for customers to reach a broker in five minutes. It took much longer.
