Sonny-Re:...AMD was down big time. I wonder what happened.

You've probably already found this, but I thought I'd pass it along any way.

Hi Sonny,

Well, No I took the couch potato route last night. <ggg> I didn't feel like messing with the computer last night. I have to wait until Nicky goes to bed or he's on my lap pushing buttons, which really doesn't work to well. Yet!! LOL

I was fairly please today, at least more than my measly KO was up. I've actually started getting a little greedy and taken some profits the last couple of weeks too. Hey a bird in the hand is still worth 2 in the bush. I bought some ERICY the other day. I've been watching it for a while. Did you and or Yaacov ever get into Nokia??? It's been on quite a tear. I always have to wonder though, now when I pick something and my broker tells me it's a good idea. Hmm.. am I actually getting it or he's trying to shut me up. <ggg>

10K by the end of the quarter really doesn't seem the unattainable. Your right volatility is going to be with us for a long time. I think we can make money both ways, buy and hold and a little trading here and there.

Did you catch NBS last night. There was some one on there saying if Mexico can recover then Brazil can too. Sounds like the new finance guy is pretty good and well respected. It's going to take some time but I'm sure they will be fine. Actually they kind of did us a favor, the fed didn't have to mess with interest rates because with them (central America) being 20% of our exports that will slow the economy down enough.

I'm with you on the Iraq situation. I also heard that Sadam has moved his anti-aircraft missiles out of the no-fly zones. That should at least keep our pilots safe, for a while. Looks like the Kosov, may be come another Bosnia for us. At least we will be sending some kind of peace force there. The details hadn't been laid out yet so who knows what's going to come out of the meetings.

Now, I'm not wedded to that silly company, I just hate to sell anything for a loss. I just about dumped it today, pretty close to the enough is enough stage. <ggg>

The colds/flu around here have been lasting about 2 weeks so hopefully you'll be perfectly healthy here soon. I can do some of mine over the phone, but the dr. still wants us to come in for a re-check. With the kids especially, I don't mind. I'm one of those anti-ear tube Moms so we keep a close eye on them if they don't seem to be getting over their colds. Don't get me wrong, if they need them, that's ok but don't even try to tell me on the first ear infection they need tubes. Over the years though my Dr's have backed off, at least my kids didn't do the screaming in the middle of the night bit. Ok, knock on wood, I've got a few more years to go with the youngest.

Here are a couple of articles on AMD. The second one is pretty good, includes a lot of info about the rivalry with INTC. Are you still holding COMS?? They got really beat up today, seems like possible competition from CSCO. Actually I'm thinking it may not be a bad idea to pick up a little, COMS that is.
