About a year ago I said the media could start a panic. When and if this takes place, and people start hoarding essentials, you will have problems.

The media has the power to create massive panic, and I will not play a roll in that by posting ONLY doom and gloom. I never see any positive posts form you. In the event that I missed them please post links.

I believe the panic could cause more problems than Y2K itself.

To answer your question.......Yes, I would stock up on the meds, if my doctor let me.

P.S.
Doomsayers have it made, say the sky is falling a million times, and if nothing happens, they will say, it was us who warned everyone, that is why Y2K didn't bite. If nothing happens, they will say, never hurts to prepare.

Did you miss my posts where I said it was always wise to always have essentials on hand at all time?

I still believe Y2K is just a bump in the road. Tell a WW2 vet that Y2K is going to be worse that WW2.

In my opinion!

AG. SECRETARY GLICKMAN, EXECUTIVES FROM KRAFT, NESTLE TO TESTIFY AT Y2K HEARING

WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Senator Robert F. Bennett (R-Utah) today
announced that two upcoming hearings of the Senate Special
Committee on the Year 2000 Technology Problem will explore food
industry safeguards against the Y2K computer glitch, a software
and hardware problem that threatens the nation's system of
agriculture producers, processors, wholesalers, distributors,
shippers and retailers. Among those scheduled to testify are
executives from food processing and retailing giants Kroger Inc.,
Kraft, Nestle, Cargill Inc. and Supervalu.

"Americans need to know if we will face empty shelves at the
grocery store on January 1, 2000," said Bennett, who chairs the
committee. "We take for granted that a head of lettuce grown in
California can be on a New York dinner table in 72 hours.
Without daily shipments, most cities have two or three days
worth of food available through local distribution. It is vital
that we know what plans the industry has to keep the shelves
stocked."

You are suppose to be a Y2K expert, and you know nothing about computers. How can you advise people? You said you designed programs, yet you play DUMB on the Welcome thread.

You don't have to worry about me posting on this thread anymore, it's all yours.

BTW,
Changing ones nickname is a daily event here on SI. STOP BEING PARANIOD.

Have fun in your bunkers.

fwiw: I have glaucoma.

I always try to keep a couple of extra bottles stocked up of the medications. I'm already on 3 rx's....

Missing even one dose is really bad. So I do my best to avoid that scenario. As it stands I have lost about 30% of my sight. its barely noticable now but if left untreated i would be blind in short order.

when i used to travel alot i discovered the drops would vaporize on the plane (10k alt pressurization) so i had to buy a special case that is air tight (pelican case)... i use it and since then my rx's never vaporize on me.
