Hi Jim,
probably two of the most asked questions so it is good to have the opportunity to respond.
As you are probably aware the biggest issue with the atypical online broker is capacity. This is what causes all the delays, inability to log on, no phone support, etc, etc. Most of the "big name" firms can only cope with a small percentage of their clients at any one time.
A.B.Watley's main focus as a trading firm at this time is towards its UltimateTrader product and is very careful never to exceed capacity. Also we do not advertise WatleyTrader other than on the web site and only take on clients in intelligent increments for this very reason.
Consequently you should have no problem connecting at any time as long as your ISP is strong.
It should also be noted that WatleyTrader fees are extremely competitive. Most firms add a large premium for NASDAQ and limit orders. We do not.
Our clearing firm, Penson Financial Services Inc. maintains an extensive inventory of shortable securities.
We are sure you will be more than pleased with the performance of WatleyTrader relative to its peers and look forward to welcoming you as a new client.
p.s. options orders on WatleyTrader get routed to RAES if eligible!
