I wish that AMIG had a counter like mine at fast.to/dmnews. Then you could see where people are coming from etc... AMIG needs to rest awhile. Hopefully drift down a little more before it comes into my buy rating again...

I don't wish ANYONE bad luck on this stock.

I'd love to see you all make big money on it, but based on everything I have read, it looks like a big scam.

And yes, eBay has one very well-known competitor, YAHOO, who charges no fees whatsoever for their auctions.

Yahoo has been doing it for about four months now, and has a little more than 100,000 auctions go on at any point in time.

Even with Yahoo GIVING these listings for free, Yahoo has had a very tough time competing against eBay, which continues to grow much more quickly.

Even if AMIG does come out with real listings, they will have to spend a VERY BIG TON of money to really get any notice. (Tahe a look at some of the smaller sites, like HAGGLE.COM. They have been doing auctions for almost as long as eBay, yet they still have about the same number of listings as they had a year ago.)

The auction market is all about traffic of good buyers and good sellers. Yahoo gets 167 million page views PER DAY, and even at FREE, they aren't making much progress against eBay.

With all Yahoo has going for it, how do you expect AMIG to make any sizeable dent in this space, even if they prove to be legitimate?
