Loose Change

Yahoo! CEO Koogle (KOOOGLE!!!!) was talking Yahoo! up
at Davos, stock climbed $35 to $358. Usual Net suspects
also soared, AOL, Amazon, eBay, Broadcast.com. So did
online brokers, JB Oxford, Siebert -- all except
E*Trade, which had a trading glitch that CNBC kept
reporting on ad nauseam!!!.... Goodyear was up on the
Sumitomo deal (who cares?!!). Immunex got hit when it
said research expense for Enbrel would be high....
Analog Devices was a big winner, but 3Com was down
$6.75!!.... Cisco: Diary of a juggernaut: You know
when the stock goes up that much, they just beat their
numbers by a penny. I heard they made their numbers
like halfway through the quarter. They just booked a
lot more growth for a rainy day. Stock was down today
(of course!!) $1.25 to $111.25.... Want to sing "Little
Drummer Boy" with me right now?
Berrrrrrummpabumpbump!!! How about "See the Pyramids
Along the Nile"?.... Sports: Can you believe Samaranch,
that pathetic fossil who runs the IOC, prefers to be
called, "Your Excellency"!?! WHAT a joke!! Duke v.
Maryland tonight? It will be close but Dukies (yuck!!)
will prevail. Serwer's top ten: Duke, UCONN, Cinci,
Kentucky, Maryland, Stanford, Auburn, Arizona, St.
John's, Mich State, Carolina, The rest of the Big
Ten!!!.... Crocodile!!!

Jan the Cpq thread are pretty negative on the AV news - they dont think there will be any immediate benefit to Cpq shareholders. Im watching that situation a little since I have some doubleclick. I take it you think the AV news (when it finally comes out) will propel cpq stock?

I think they were pretty sloppy with the AV announcement any way you look at it however.
