GIFI Earnings due out tomorrow EBES has estimate of $.11. for the quarter and $1.17 for FY99. What is interesting is if the $.11 cents is accurate that leaves $1.06 for the remaining 3 quarters for an average of $.35+. As indicated in last years annual report earnings during the winter months are typically lower due to shorter day light hours and bad weather.. A lot of their work is performed outside. It appears this year will be no exception. The company is adding capacity and increasing efficiency, having already made two critical acquisitions last year in addition to paying cash for heavy equipment previously leased. No debt and increased capacity indicates the company is POISED for GROWTH with the recovery of crude and natural gas prices. It is not a question of "if", but "when". Nice day for the OSX.. marc, good point there about index fund buying distorting OSX (relative to sector) by reason of SLB being component of S&P100/500. Re: VTS --- Do you concur with the hypothesis Gary offered that fund-dumping into strength accounts for VTS falling slightly overall on good volume today? I was watching for a little while and had the same feeling. --(I bought back into VTS the other day when it fell below 12, and doubled my position today @$12 as it lagged.) regards, diana
