Hi Frank!

"In simple terms, think of how the steam engine changed things??"

The Internet is an explosive revolution, you are right. But having a .com in your name will not guarantee success....it just helps pump the stock....

It is very cheap to set up an internet company....I wonder how much Barnes and Noble had to invest to set up their web site and start competing with Amazon? I bet it only cost a few million bucks......while Amazon has a market cap of $18B.....

You are buying a percentage of a business when you buy shares in Internet cos.....take a look at any of the $1B or so internet start ups....would you rather have:

*$1B to start up your own company to compete with them
*All of the shares in the existing company

Give me $1B any time......

Dines is right about the internet, and he has been right all the way up about the mania......whether or not these cos or a buy and hold I disagree......but that's just me!

Did you note that at Davos both Jeff Bezos and Gates both said internet cos are essentialy "not a good investment right now"???

Good luck,

THC
