JAS - It must have more to do with their new site than your access as I heard that Scotia was still snails pace slow even with High speed BUT their website has been changed so I wonder if that is it. My puter cannot take a cable modem and Mpowered is not available for anudder year here

JAS Yes, Calgary SDB Office serves Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and NWT (and Toronto when they are in a snow storm). I live outside of the service area around Edmonton where cable is provided and it is unlikely that we will see cable out here any time soon. This old 166MHz Pentium 64M-RAM is just fine for my needs. I am going to bump it to 128 M-RAM soon here, as I find that the RAM fills up around noon and sometimes crashes or freezes up the thingamawhatchamacallit that keeps the doohickey running. I am very pleased with SDB phone service but as soon as I start doing a few more and larger trades, where a $.02 move is $500, I will upgrade the puter and might look into the on-line trading then. A
