Smart you for hanging on to it. I had 1000 CIEN but sold it to buy CPQ in late Dec. Should have held it. My reasons for selling it were that the stock price seemed to be living and breathing by takeover rumours only, and not on fundamentals. Well, no takeover has materialized, but I read two positive news items about it on the NASDAQ page. Something about opening an office in France, and an upbeat announcement re. sales. So now maybe it is being supported by fundamentals of the company and the growth rate of the market for its products. The multiple is not too high (~48) by tech standards. Other companies in the field are also flying. Check JDS Fitel on the Toronto Exchange. It has increased from 38 to 64 since the beginning of the year. D.Plen
