Along similar line, I think Searle made a deal with Yamanouchi for Japanese sales, for which if I remember correctly, they received something like 70 million dollars upfront. I wonder where they stand for Japanese registration. Since the Japanese are "ultra" sensitive to gastric upset--the market there could be huge and Yamanouchi is the "Pfizer" of Japan as far as selling power is concerned.
