I can't explain the moves EGRP, AMTD, etc. have made recently. I doubt TD will ever sell for 200 times earnings, because they make too much money. If earning is $2.35 it would have to go to 567 to equal AMTD's PE ratio of 208. It would have to go to 188 to equal SCH's PE ratio of 80.

Ash: I also believe if TD decide to go with the IPO of Waterhouse/Green Line the TD's stock should react extremely positively to what extent I don't know. I have feeling that TD will most definitely go for the IPO for obvious reasons,if they don't it will be the most stupid decision the TD management has ever made.
I mean who wouldn't want to unlock this huge hidden value buried under the pile.

Anyway I bought a few shares yesterday hoping that they will do the IPO and in the event that they do TD's stock will react very positively to the news,I will be watching with interest.

Hi. everyone. I'm a new poster. Thanks Ash for re-inforcing my reasons for buying TD. I think Canadian investors get less carried away than their US counterparts, but once there is a spin-off, which presumably would trade on a US exchange, you watch it take off like the rest of the internet stocks. The trick then will be knowing when to cash in. However, even if the bubble bursts, it will be at a much higher plane than TD is at present.
