Mike, I fully concur with your explanation.

'Insider buying' and 'stock buybacks' are totally separate and distinct things. I want to see the insiders (company executives, directors, managers) buy ETPI stock for their personal portfolios with their personal cash. It shows they have confidence in the future of the company. ETPI funds are not involved.

As far as a stock buyback by ETPI using ETPI funds, I doubt they can afford it. It depletes their cash reserves for future growth, forcing them to assume debt or issue stock (opposite of buyback) to finance future expansion. A very bad idea.
