zp You will have an extended partition with one logical drive inside it. Glad you posted back. The extended with 1 logical was my original understanding of how to procede. Then I thought you meant just an extended w/o any logical partition. But now i'm back on track. First create the extended then the logical within it. Try a 4 gig extended with a 2 gig logical to see what it looks like. You can adjust from there. Ok....I think however I setup now will be adjusted later. PM seems to take off the pressure to have to get it right inthe beginning. Clarence
