Benkea,

You are pretty tough on Mr. Silverman. I run my own company. Nobody
makes perfect decisions. We all make mistakes. I think Mr. Silverman has shown that he knows how to maximize shareholder value. HFS's stock performance in the 80's was second only to companies like Dell
and Cisco. If Henry had folded during this crises, then I would agree with your opinion. But, he is showing how remarkable an executive he
is. He has gotten the company through a quick restatement, fast asset sales, a stock buyout (almost done) and a partial resolution to shareholder lawsuits. This guy is working fast. The stock is up
for $6 to $22. I think that is excellent performance.

As a business person, I realize that we all can make big mistakes.
It is how we recover that shows what we are truly made of. I think
Henry Silverman is a champion. He is really leaving the past behind.
I don't know how an executive could do a better job. (Aside from
the untimely options repricing that was a little insensitive)

By the way, regarding the stock price, check the 52 week high. This
stock was in the 40's.

Best wishes for all of us.

Jeff Bertrand
