Actually, I'm the momentum trader that got caught holding the bag. (Sorry, couldn't resist intervening because I was just kicking myself for this very thing.) Luckily, in my case the bag is full of the market's money because my current position is small and I had been doing pretty well trading this one up until now. One thought I'd like to share with the board if I may: If the longs really are confident in this company they shouldn't worry at all about the shorts' activities. If the company succeeds, sooner or later the shorts will cover and forget this one or they will get burned.
