x,

Last time I was on vacation in Montana/Canada, I had a hell of a time finding internet access. Finally I was able to find a small mall in Canada that had an office supply/copy shop that had internet access. I didn't need to use my provider to gain access. They logged me on via their provider and then charged me about $5 Canadian an hour to use their service.

Is the Crown Paradise one of the many big hotels on the island along the beach?

Don't think you will find many libraries in COZ, have you tried a net seach of businesses that may have a site there?
BTW, to unwind, a good place is Carlos N Charlies after about 8pm.
Also you could take the ferry to Playa del Carmen and taxi to Cancun,
major hotels and business there would certainly have web access.
Good luck!
