Chris,
It just sends up a red flag. If you have much money on the line then I hope you will get to the bottom of that question. The fact that an insider leaves at a time like this will raise doubts (no posts by shorters needed). The bottom line is if the company is well managed and makes money it will survive and if you didn't buy at an inflated price you will be fine. On the other hand, don't get too defensive about negative information when it is brought to light ... just because the people posting it may make money when a stock falls doesn't mean the information they are acting on isn't sounds.
