Fred,

I have to agree with you about the impact of any forward-looking cautionary statements. Especially in the small-caps, these types of statements are the death-knoll. (Did you know that GE + MSFT = the entire market cap of the Russell 2000?). Seems the market wasn't waiting to hear what Neo might have to say. Also, there hasn't been any discussion on this thread about the 19% earnings growth forecast for next year vs. the 30% 5yr prognosis. Then combine this with the uncertainty surrounding Neo's future product lines and competitive viability in their graphics products; It's not that the MSDW's and NBMont's don't lie, but it helps to sell the tale if there is a kernel of truth.

>>I noticed that all of the new Dell notebooks are using the ATI Rage chip. Up until this most recent family, the were using Neo's 128 offering.<<

I'm curious where you see this info about Neo's chip not being used. I think the chip (card?) they have been using until very recently is the Neo 256 bit MagicMedia. I just bought my sister an Inspiron 3500 with that in it. Is this a new line just coming out that you are talking about? (It would figure--I'm a lousy shopper).

Fred and others considering NeoMagic: Hi. This may be a resource you are familiar with ~ There is a "Moderated Discussion Club" about NMGC over within Yahoo. The link below is one that addresses NMGC and ATI and the chip differences. There seem to be a bunch of informing posts there:

Good luck; and hey, maybe the price is right. :o)
