I'm glad the road show got cancelled as I too had to suddenly travel someplace else this week on business. (The east coast). Now, I can hopefully still meet them in person, in mid-February. By the way, I never got the impression from talking to Broderick that the road show was this intense PR event. Some companies make it a big deal; buying steak lunches for new analysts, etc., etc. I always hate those kind of road shows. I want them to not spend my money on steaks; coffee and cookies are fine! The PROG road show, from the impression I got, seems more like an informal meeting with current shareholders. Hence, the cancelling of which, to perhaps close a deal (Thinking positive), is okay by me. However, I do agree that if cancelled engagements becomes a pattern of operations, then "I'm gone". Talking with management on the phone, I do not get the feeling or suspicion, in any way shape or form, that they are flaky. What I'd like to see is the PR firm they've hired, or internal staff people, make a concentrated effort to court new analysts to the road show and other media events in general. This will be a question that I have for them: What's specifically being done in this space of promotion? It's one thing to hype, and I don't want that. But PROG did great on the numbers and is entitled to the wear the World Wrestling Federation championship belt for a few weeks. Gather more interest. Q1 - '99 estimates of $.16 (Because it's a slower quarter historically after the big holiday reseller quarter), ought to be smashed. The new internet site, hardware and more content sales, new content provider partnerships, new Europe management that did good in Q4 - '98...nah, $.16 is toast.
