Short it at this price and you get burned! If you want to short it, it better be in the mid 170s. OF course i am talking a very short term trade. I personally won't do it---- have "soft" spot for this company. If I short, I might pick Dell if it goes up another 20 points (if it doesn't I won't short--will just stay away) leading into earnings.

I actually sold covered calls for half of my portfolio in my margin account. --Feb 175s. In addition did the same with INTEL Feb 145s.
I get the feeling INTEL shares may get called on me but I will be happy with the move. However, I have a lot of INTEL and MSFT call options(April) in my retirement accounts.

That is what you said yesterday on AOL thread: Short AOL. AOL went up $6 today. Short MSFT??? Are you sure? Sam.

You better look at the chart about previous dips before the big gap up before taking your short position. We are now in the dip before the next gap up.

There are better risk reward ratios out there than betting against big Bill.

Browse this thread and you will see that there is not much support here for shorting MSFT. But every buyer needs a seller :-)
