The US can't do anything about it because we need their oil. The US imports as much oil from Vene as from Saudi Arabia, and had a great deal to do with increasing Vene production so that we would not be as dependent on the Mideast. Noriega got it because his was on our payroll, we put him in power, then he got greedy and took drug money payoffs. We wanted to show that once we put our man in, he better stay our man.
