I contacted some of the v.c. firms behind Red Hat, even tried to open an account with them for the purpose of getting in on the IPO, no dice - there has to be a play here somewhere?!?!?

That is not true. I am starting the next Microsoftie. I guess some people thought I was being facetious when I asked them to send me all their money but I am d.e.a.d serious. We are starting a new Y2K in/con/sulting company that will write a client server graphical user interface that will be so superior to X-Windows that it will not even be a big joke anymore.

We don't have to charge much. Right now a few good books and the latest 4 disk set from Red Hat and you are back more than MS-98 costs you anyway. And you don't have to learn 700 Unix commands to run Win 98.
