No, Bob, I admit Clinton has lied, and probably under oath, too. My point was that Darrell's Teddy Roosevelt quote impeaches the behavior of many modern Republicans just as much as it does Clinton's behavior. It was a good quote, and TR was a great orator and a truly interesting president.

Re. the trivia question, I was planning to make y'all guess for a week or so before telling the answer, but here's a hint:

The musician who played for both TR and JFK in the White House was a political exile from his country of birth during the first half of the 20th century, but he became a first-time father well into his old age after fighting for freedom through his music. Who was this man? (He happens to be my personal role model in the ways of both music and life.)

... in response to BLT's words:
What's your point? Does the charge that Republicans have lied somehow alter the basic fabric of the universe in such a way that Bill Clinton did not swear an oath to tell "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth," and then violate that oath?

Pablo Casals, who popularized the cello as a solo instrument, played for both Teddy R. (in 19-oh-something) and JFK (in 1961). Casals would probably have played at the White House in between those dates, but he staged a decades-long boycott of any country that recognized the fascist Franco government in his native Spain.

I wish I had an answer for your fascinating trivia question. I'm dying to
know what the answer is.

...in response to my bonus trivia question:

Which musician performed in the White House for both Theodore Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy?
