russett - the name of the game is to buy at an advantage and to make a profit - the way of the world - can't blame any company for doing it - even Barrick! dd

<<Look at the Barrick record over the last five years. Grab property at cheap prices that turns out to be worth much more later.>>

Certainly not the case with Pierena. The grab it at high prices and it has yet to show the expected increase in reserves.

Russet,

The common thinking among people is that Barrick's presence will preclude other potential bidders. The stock price movement seems to reflect this.

I am not sure this is a good assumption to make. I think that other bidders will materialize once we get more drill results. In my opinion, there is just too much value here to sell for a low price. I am very confident the Lundins will be able to attract better bids. In fact, I have added to my holdings at current prices. Sure, I might be wrong in doing so, but I feel comfortable with the situation.

Perhaps the greatest wildcard here is the unexplored properties ARP has.
