I had seen a different article, much shorter, that did not include the major fact that the joint venture was limited to the European (BV) operations. As documented on this thread, BERU does own over 14% of IMPCO already.

I view this as a positive. BERU is very well connected in Europe - performance cars like BMW, Mercedes use their electronic/electrical products. I especially liked the comment "we expect to triple the sales within the next five years."

This company has huge potential. The long term holders, even BREU, will enjoy the ride to higher validations.

This obviously increases Beru's incestuous relationship with Airsensors even further. It will always be airsensors to me and those of long term faith.

The fact is that IMPCO can market combined systems with BERU components with greater reception with a German partner in europe than can an american company, fighting for entrance on its own.

This also potentially could lead to other joint ventures in other areas where Impco rather than Beru has the upper hand, as they do in Europe.

I have zero doubt that BERU continues to buy stock, the only surprise for me on the last filing was that they didn't get over 15% which would require them to increase disclosure on their intentions. We aren't getting any help from the fact that IMPCO has not been putting out any press releases about BERU's increasing ownership, which would add kerosene to the fire which is smoldering now.

People tend to forget that Questor SBS, LLC which is headed by ex DLJ muck Dan Lufkin is still the largest shareholder, through its purchase of the Schneebeck estate stock last spring. Questor has no interest in letting their position get out of the barn at anything near these levels because they paid $13.50 when they acquired it.

I continue to get strong undertones that a lot is going on beneath the surface, but at this point will just have to wait for BERU to break the 15% point. We must remember that BERU will eventually have to deal with Questor's stock, if they really are coming after them, so it does behoove them to acquire a lot of the shares very quietly. A substantial portion of their acquisitions have in fact been done privately, since some of this stock was placed back in the late 70's and 80's with friends of Schneebeck and one of my favorite wild men Raleigh Taplett.

I do know the broker who is buying BERU's stock in the open market and he isn't saying anything (for what I believe is obvious reasons.)

Pete, is this you, the big guy in INDI? Long time no hear! Take a look at CMED and its numbers now. IBD has them at 98-96, eps strength, rel strength.
