I'm using the normal way of calculating PE, using trailing 12 months not forecasted earnings like most use to justify their lofty prices.

Nesbitt Burns has revise EPS forecast to US$1.23 (F99), US$1.91 (F00), and US$2.75 (F01). If you convert today's closing price to US dollars JDS is trading at something like 32 X expected 1999 earnings and 20 X expected 2000 earnings. It's not time to sell, people, it's time to buy!
BTW I'm new to the thread. Hi, everyone. Been lurking for a couple of weeks. JDS is in my RRSP as a long term growth investment. My cost was C$5.50. This company can't do anything wrong in my eyes.
