Joe,

There is some slight banding in the reddish sky textures of the Q2 Railgun shot. That banding is typical of the 16 vs 32-bit color issue. FWIW, I've never seen a screenshot (including ones that I personally tried to create) that adequately shows the differences between 16 and 32-bit color. The differences are much more obvious when you actually play the the game. So it is my personal experience that very minor problems with screenshots translate into larger problems in the actual gaming experience.

Now, that said, any increase in the framerate/resolution ratio could easily offset minor display quality issues in the mind of hardcore gamers and branding should sway novice/casual gamers in the retail channel. Obviously, I got no clue what criteria OEMs care about.
