Silverman is not running the company out of the goodness of his heart. He saved (yes, barely) the stockholders from one of the many criminal enterprises posing as companies now. I am not sure Mother Teresa could have been quite as forceful in the situation. A greedy, grasping capitalist with a huge desire to make money for himself was needed, and sure enough, there he was. It is up to the OTHER board members to control the compensation of the CEO. Sure, we can't think of their names, but they are the ones to be held responsible for Silverman's compensation, not him.
