Finder, where on earth do you get this notion?

It is more likely that the DLJ analyst told the company that he was lowering his estimate and why. With so much of the networking products business closing -- as usual -- at the end of the quarter and with concerns about the distributors, the analyst probably figured it was safer to shave a couple of cents off his estimate. For the same reason, the company wouldn't have any information to disagree with a more conservative estimate. This is not selective disclosure.
