I have another question in this area for you. A few weeks back when all the crazy stock price targets for internuts were coming out (which have mostly been exceeded by big margins), an Oppenheimer analyst called for AMZN, I believe, to reach 200 or something as a short term target when the stock was 80 or whatever...Anyway my point is that I commented that they must have taken Michael Metz and bound and gagged him and locked him in the back room. (which of course i appended with a <g>).

Michael Burke fielded the comment and said that analysts were generally totally independent of market strategists. This seemed odd to me. Can you comment? tia
